Simparica® is a chewable tablet for dogs that provides systemic antiparasitic protection against:
- Tick infestations: Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes hexagonus, Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus
- Flea infestations: Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalides canis
- Sarcoptic mange: Sarcoptes scabiei
 -Simparica can also be used as part of the treatment for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD).
Mode of action:
The active ingredient, sarolaner, blocks GABA- and glutamate-activated chloride channels in the parasite’s nervous system, leading to its death. It acts quickly:
- Fleas are killed in less than 8 hours
- Ticks are killed in less than 12 hours
Pharmaceutical form:
Chewable tablets, marbled brown in color, square-shaped, with engraved dosages: 5, 10, 20, 40, 80, or 120 mg depending on the dog’s weight.
