Mirataz is a transdermal administered ointment of 2% Mirtazapine for body weight gain in cats with a poor appetite and weight loss. The ointment is applied to the inner pinna of the cat's ear once a day. Early recognition and treatment of feline unintentional weight loss is critical since cats do not tolerate even short periods of inadequate nutrition. Mirataz is the first and only Veterinairy approved transdermal medication for the management of weight loss in cats.
