Metacam® is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the oxicam group for use in dogs.  
It acts by inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis and is indicated for the alleviation of inflammation and pain in both acute and chronic musculo-skeletal disorders.
